Student Prize
NZMS is pleased to offer NZ$400 worth of cash prizes to the two best postgraduate student papers presented at the conference ($300 and $100). To be eligible for this prize, please submit a written version of the paper (no more than 4000 words) to Gregory Camp (g.camp@auckland.ac.nz) by 23 November. A panel of senior NZMS members will adjudicate based on the written and oral versions of the paper.
Postgraduate Travel Grants
NZMS has NZ$600 available to assist postgraduate students travel to Auckland. This allocation will be divided according to the number of requests made by students. To be eligible, please send receipts/information of your travel plans to NZMS Treasurer Nick Braae (Nick.Braae@wintec.ac.nz) by 9 November; reimbursements will be arranged before the conference starts.
Getting to the School of Music
The conference will be held at the University of Auckland School of Music, 6 Symonds Street, Auckland 1010. Options for getting from the airport to the city include buses ($18 with https://www.skybus.co.nz), Super Shuttle (https://www.supershuttle.co.nz) and taxis (many companies, for example http://www.cheaptaxi.co.nz). Note that taxis hailed from the airport are very expensive (up to $90 into town). Uber costs approx. $50 from the airport.
